20mm Baseball Glove

Up for sale is an all handmade 20mm Baseball Glove Watch Strap, made by me (Mott Straps). The glove used for this strap was an autograph Red Schoendienst MacGregor baseball glove.  Red is largely known for coaching, managing and playing for the St. Louis Cardinals.  He played for 19 years in the Major Leagues before coaching.  He has the second longest tenure as Cardinals manager, second, only to Tony La Russa.  Under Schoendienst, the Cardinals won the pennant in 1967 and 1968, winning the World Series in 1967.  He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1989.  All in all, he wore a Major League Uniform for 74 consecutive years, 67 of those years with the Cardinals. This baseball glove strap measures 20mm (no taper), 75 mm x 125 mm x ~3.6 mm thick.   I minimally stitched this strap with red Tiger thread, the best waxed polyester thread available.  Edges were burnished smooth. This strap features “DG903” and “MacGregor” on the buckle side and the Red Schoendienst autograph on the long side.  The strap comes with two floating keepers. The first hole is 50 mm from the lug end.   Extra holes can be punched upon request. The strap includes a custom Mott stainless steel pre-V style screw-in buckle as shown.  I can swap out the buckle to a custom Mott screw-in bronze buckle.  Just let me know upon checkout. Sizing :  Baseball glove straps that are over 4.5mm tend to wear a bit smaller than their dimensions, since most OEM straps are less than 4 mm thick.  If you’re on the fence, I suggest you go with a longer strap or reach out about a custom strap.
